Viva vichy: a timeless print
This timeless print has its origins in the XVII century when they started to produce it in a little french town called Vichy.
At the beginning, it was only used to make aprons and tablecloths, but after many years it has survived all trends and it is still fashionable nowadays, just like the liberty prints (that we already saw in this post).
One of the celebrities that made it so popular was Brigitte Bardot, who got married in a vichy printed dress; but I prefer the vichy pants that Audrey Hepburn wore in that picture…Ive been searching them for years, and someday Ill find them.
But speaking about vichy fashion in the kids universe, we can also find hundreds of examples of nice outfits. Lets start with these culottes from Bobo Choses, ideal for a picnic day (visit this minimoi post about picnics).
At Petit Bateau they have the blue vichy print in numerous versions.
From the french brand called Bonpoint they are these discrete outfits also with vichy print.
At H&M they are more daring and they have these multicolored vichy outfits. The sneakers are also a good choice for those who only dare to wear vichy as an accessory.
At Tammy Donohoes they also have a beige version of vichy.
And finally, these accessories from a shop that I love…When I discovered it I couldnt stop saying Im dying! Im dying!everything is so gorgeous! In Barcelona we have the pleasure to have a shop from this brand at Rambla Catalunya 42, and it is called Papa Pique et Maman Coud…you have to visit it!
Are you also a “vichy” fan?
