Maternity bags for the hospital and weekend escapes
When youre about to become a mum for the first time you realize that everyone wants to sell you anything. In the furniture shop they ask you if youve got your maternity bag that matches the babys room. Where youve bought the baby stroller they ask you if you want the bag for the hospital in the same print and not to mention that they ask you the same question when you buy your babys first clothes. So you end up wandering: do I really need a special bag to carry the 4 minithings that the baby will need at the hospital?
Well, the answer is NO. You can go to the hospital with your current suitcase or any travel bag you have. Then why are there those soft-colored bags made of cotton or leather so typical for babies?
I have no clue but if they were that great and necessary people would buy them before having kids for a weekend escape, dont you think?
So when I couldnt take any more pressure around the hospital bag, I decided at least to pick a practical bag that I could reuse (and that wouldnt look dirty after two uses).
I finally found my ideal bag: this Dwell Studio multicolor bag that I bought in limo bebe. It has the perfect size for WE and to be considered hand luggage for plane travelling.
In Little Barcelona we discovered the spanish Brand My Bags. They design cool and practical bags in a lot of different prints. We really like their packs for only 59,95.
Another great discovery for chic mamas are Petunia Pickle Bottoms bags in organic cotton (treated to be water resistant). If paparazzi await for you to come out of the hospital, with these bags youll look great on the picture.
In kiwisac they have water resistant bags in different prints and colors. They have even single-colored bags for daddies.
And finally check this travel bags from Reisenthel. Theyre very affordable and youve got dozens of different prints to choose from. The only thing is that theyre not baby bags so they dont have a lot of pockets.
Do you like typical baby bags or you prefer a more versatile bag?
