Discovering Donna Wilson
Sometimes when I discover a beautiful object I feel an uncontrollable urge to buy it. Fortunately the price most of the times refrains me from it (like with the Jonathan Adler cushions that I’ve been admiring for years).
In fact, last weekend it happened again when I visited the store domesticoshop in Barcelona. There it was… the perfect cushion for my sofa! I wrote down the name of the brand and went back home to meditate if it was worth the 53 that it costs.
I haven’t bought the cushion yet but thanks to it I’ve discovered a super cool designer: Donna Wilson!
Scottish designer Donna, runs a studio and workshop in London since 2003 when her odd knitted creatures (displayed at her final show at the Royal College of art) proved to be a success.
Now apart from her famous creatures her collection has expanded to other domains…
Socks, hats, gloves, arm warmers, hot watter bottles:
Ceramics, glass & other tableware:
And of course: cushions and blankets for adults and minimoi:
Passionate for color and quality like Ingela P Arrhenius (here), Donna is committed to create little treasures.
I hope you enjoyed meeting Donna! Well I gotta go… I need to buy the cushion 😉
