Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation
This month, instead of presenting you a new giveaway, we’ve decided to participate in the charity campaign to raise funds for Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA).
So this time, there won’t be a single winner but a lot of kids and family will benefit from your votes in facebook. The more votes we get the higher the investment of the Chase Community Giving Program in the DBA Foundation will be.
¿What’s Diamond Blackfan Anemia? ¿Why have we decided to join it? ¿Isn’t this another weird internet story?, you might be thinking…
Well, here are my answers. Maria is one of my best friends. She’s optimistic, fun and with a big heart. You can rely on her in every situation and she’s the kind of person that always cheers you up. She gave birth to her only son Roger a year and a half ago. He’s a cute baby as happy and fun as his mum. When you are with him you barely realize he’s ill, but in fact he’s suffering from DBA (Diamond Blackfan Anemia).
This rare disease affects very few people (this is why it’s so unknown and there are few investments on its research). It provokes such a strong anemia that Roger needs a blood transfusion at least once each 3 weeks because there’s no cure for the moment.
The positive side is that now we can help a bit, with only a click on facebook. The more clicks we get, the higher the chance to receive a strong donation from the Chase Community Giving (linked to Bank of America). In similar campaigns they’ve donated from 10,000 to 250,000$.
It won’t take you more than 30 seconds.
This campaign will be active till the 19th of September, so don’t hesitate to spread the word with all of your friends.
Thank you very much!
