Some curious facts:

It’s name means “Cloth from Jouy-en-Josas”, a small village a few km from Versailles.

– It was created in 1760 by Christophe-Philippe Oberkampf, that invented a new way of clothing printing.

– The usual themes were birds, flowers and sheperd scenes.

Marie Antoinette loved it (check Sofia Coppola’s film).
