Wall height /growth charts

I’ve been searching for wall growth charts for my minimoi’s bedroom and I still haven’t made up my mind. It’s funny to see how such a simple thing as putting marks on a wall has turned into a beautiful decoration element.

My little nephew Bruno has one teddy height chart from Noukie’s. It’s very soft and perfect for a baby room.

Saro’s are very colorful and they have such a wide range that you could create a zoo!

There are also wooden height charts as this red one from Frank & Fischer . And one can find, of course, thousands of stickers and adhesive wall Growth Charts for Boys and Girls.

There are true artworks. What about this friendly Giraffe Height Chart Wall Sticker from Bewilders? It’s not only a useful height chart but also reminds your minimoi that it’s important to eat healthy ;-)

You already discovered in this post our obsession for trees, so we couldn’t miss out these beautiful stickers from Océchou.

And since the last day we talked about cuckoo clocks, in Pottery Barn Kids there’s a cute birdhouse height meter sticker.

But rockstar babies have also some cool options to choose from.

I love the Kids Growth/Birth Chart that looks like an arrest board from Nippaz with Attitude. You can fill in the rap sheet, do the fingerprints, take yearly mugshots… The poster comes with an A4 size ‘Mugshot board’ featuring Johnny Cash’s arrest number. Is there anything cooler?

And what about you? Have you bought any height chart? Which kind of height charts do you like the most?

The best of FIMI 2012

lo mejor del fimi 2013

These days has took place in Valencia one of the most important Children’s Fashion Fair in Spain, the FIMI. It’s a pitty that we couldn’t make it to see it “live” but we’ve been following it closely from the distance… So, this is our particular selection of what we think that has been the best of Fimi.

First, the new Little Marc Jacobs collection, a brand which belongs to the Children Worldwide fashion group, specialists on luxury children’s fashion and that has other brands such as Boss Kidswear, Chloé, DKNY or Elle. We specially like these black sneakers with a fun punk touch and this “teddy bear-like” jacket that looks so softy…

We would also highlight two brands that have something in common: the french appeal; which are Chloé and Zadig &Voltaire. The stripped t-shirt from Zadig&Voltaire is a classic and we’re almost sure that this “cabaret” dress from Chloé will be next year’s must have for parties.

Regarding things seen on the catwalk, don’t miss out the romantic look from Larrana, with low volume dresses like the one in this picture, with blue and grey colors. From Cóndor we’ve found pretty interesting the pom-pom details everywhere: in scarfs, hats… they are really cute! And even more in that “minimoi” color! And finally these russian style hats from Lea Lelo…  Are you ready to get your children dress in a cool russian style next winter?

And that’s all… Let’s hope next year we get invited to Fimi :-) Next fair: Playtime in Paris (28-30 january)!

Girl’s shoes

baby shoes animal print

It’s been a long time since we’ve talked about fashion so in today’s post we’re gonna fix that! Winter sales have already started which means that now is the right moment to buy those things that you considered unnecessary a few months ago at the shop but kept coming back to your mind over and over.

In my “to buy on sales” list there are undoubtedly cool shoes for my minimoi. So I’ve done a research on girls’ shoes that will add a trendy touch to their outfits.

Let’s start with glitter shoes: the absolute trend this year. If you only had to buy a pair of shoes it wouldn’t certainly be these ones but since they appear in every fashion magazine here you’ve got several interesting models.

Regarding black & white trend, the brand of the funny socks we presented you here (Trumpette) have some silly-soles Todd’s alike. Zara also offers two lady models for preppy girls.

Another season’s must is the animal print. They’re a little bit flashy so it’s recommendable to combine them with discrete clothes in order not to shock grandmas.

And last, don’t forget boots. Zara’s look warm and very trendy. I would buy them for me as well!

Hanna Andersson’s are fun and look perfect for snow. In H&M there are some clones of UGG’s, Kicker’s and minnetonka’s. I have to say that I’ve bought the cheap H&M minnetonka’s for my daughter but she keeps losing them so I don’t use them for everyday wear.

Ah, and now that I’m talking about UGG it reminds me of a fun advert…

Well, that’s all for today! Only one question, do you dare to buy your minimoi’s shoes on sale for next year?

Letters girl

alphabetletterschild

I have to say that I’m a letters’ girl… not only for professional reasons but also because I’ve always loved them. Alphabetical letters are used to express things but they can also be aesthetic and very beautiful on their own.

When I first saw in a deco magazine how letters could turn into a good decoration element I didn’t wait much to get them into my house.

These were our first letters: home. I found them in a tinny shop in Barcelona called LU-INK. It was love at first sight: they were so perfect, so stylish and painted on wood in my favorite color!

After this experience I have discovered many other places in the house where I can put letters. As you can see they fit anywhere, but especially in children’s bedrooms, as this magnificent alphabet from aworkingprogressgifts (etsy).

And this isn’t all, I think it’s beautiful to decorate your child’s bedroom with his name with all kinds of letters: wooden letters, letters on posters, bunting letters… Let’s see some good examples.

First I really like these graphical compositions of letters that look like alphabets with the baby’s names hidden on them. These are from madebygirl and pennypaperco.

I also like these wooden letters. Some are really adorable because they are handpainted and they are unique designs: poshdots and myadornables.

These letters made of clothes are also cute and I love the fact that they hang from a tree branch (maybe my obsession for trees in children’s rooms has something to do with that).

What about these bunting letters? Aren’t they nice? (they’re from redenvelope)

I hope this post has inspired you and will encourage you to decorate your children’s bedrooms or your houses with lots of letters!
